Debbie Allen Makes a Dazzling Backstage Appearance at Kinky Boots

first_imgThe latest star to join the fun backstage at the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots is dance legend Debbie Allen, who headed behind the scenes after the October 2 matinee of the crowd-pleasing tuner. Allen delivered her hearty congratulations to Kinky’s Tony-winning star Billy Porter, who welcomed the Broadway icon with the help of two of the show’s fabulous drag Angels, Kevin Smith Kirkwood and Kyle Taylor Parker. Porter & Co. posed for this fantastic Hot Shot with Allen, who has starred on the Great White Way in shows like Sweet Charity, West Side Story and Raisin, as well as directing the starry 2008 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Materne Named to the All-GSC Tournament Team

first_imgMaterne Named to the All-GSC Tournament Team Share PENSACOLA , Fla. — University of West Florida center fielder Jack Materne was named to the 2009 Gulf South Conference All-Tournament Team, which was announced May 8th.  The junior out of Bluewater Bay, Fla. started all four games while batting a solid .467 (7-for-13) to help the Argos out to a 2-2 record and a third place finish in the tournament.Materne led the Argos throughout the tournament knocking three doubles with three runs scored and five RBI. He had atleast one RBI in each of the four games including a 2-for-4, two RBI performance in the Argos 11-4 win over Harding in game two of the tournament. Materne represented the lone spot on the team for the Argonauts which included four members from the 2009 GSC Champions, Southern Arkansas.
