US national found dead in Dominica

first_img Tweet 2023 Views   no discussions Sharing is caring! The Police Department is investigating the death of Peter Hepp, 51, of New York who resided at Picard Estate, in Portsmouth. Hepp, who was the owner of the Cabrits Dive Centre in Portsmouth, was found lifeless about 10AM on Monday 14 December 2015, a report from Police Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Pelham Jno Baptiste indicates.The report issued on Tuesday 15 December indicates that Hepp was found “lying on his bed with a wound to the head and a 9mm pistol in close proximity to his body”.“The scene was processed by the Crime Scene team of the Criminal Investigations Department. Peter Hepp was transported to the Fitzgerald Reginald Armour Hospital at Portsmouth where he was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor,” Sergeant Jno Baptiste added.A coroner’s inquest will be convened; however, the Police Department is treating Hepp’s death as a suspicious one.Police is soliciting the assistance from the general public as its investigation into the discovery continues.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at telephone numbers (767) 266-5164, 266-5165 or 266-5119 or Crime Stoppers Dominica at 1-800- 8477.The police department also extended sympathies to Hepp’s family and friends.Editor’s note: The photograph earlier displayed to be that of Mr Hepp was inaccurate and removed.
